FREEFLOAT / DROP-IN INSTALLATION

Aligned by design.
Less time on the workbench.

HUSAR is a fully drop-in engine for your chosen V2 or V3 platform. Connect it to the hop-up chamber, and clearance around the engine body lets it stay aligned with the barrel. There is no tedious engine alignment or trial and error with nozzle lengths. The nozzle is matched to the chamber at the factory to seat each BB precisely in the hop-up bucking.

01

Connect the engine to the chamber

The QD connection aligns the nozzle with the hop-up chamber. Its factory-matched length places the BB correctly in the bucking.

02

Leave clearance inside the gearbox

Mounting clearance around the engine body prevents the gearbox from forcing it out of alignment.

03

The engine follows the barrel

Within this clearance, the engine, chamber and barrel stay on one axis, even when the upper and lower are not perfectly aligned.

GBB/VSR STANDARD FOR V2 AND V3 PLATFORMS

Built for accuracy.

GATE R&D / FROM PTX TO HUSAR

Precision developed
on the range.

HUSAR builds on the experience gained developing PULSAR S2 for PTX, through a programme of more than 47,000 shots. In comparable GATE R&D tests at 40 m, the move from V22 to V31 reduced average MOA by 53.9%. The best 50-shot group achieved 25.32 MOA and a SCORE of 87 with a barrel just 138 mm long.

We brought that experience into HUSAR: an HPA engine engineered for exceptional accuracy. The engine and included EON VSR hop-up chamber work together as one matched system.

QUALITY CONTROL / GATE SHOOTING RANGE

Every engine.
Tested on our range.

Every HUSAR we manufacture undergoes an individual accuracy test on our 40 m shooting range. An electronic measurement system records impact coordinates, allowing us to assess the grouping of each unit.

Inspection also covers startup at low and high pressure and FPS consistency. Only units that meet GATE’s quality standards are cleared for dispatch.

GATE EON VSR HOP-UP CHAMBERS

GBB/VSR buckings.
Now in your V2 or V3.

HUSAR brings the bucking technology used in precision airsoft sniper rifles to your assault rifle or DMR. The EON VSR chamber builds on GATE EON design, supporting GBB/VSR buckings and VSR barrels with precise TDC adjustment.

The engine, chamber and extended-travel nozzle are designed to work together. The factory-matched nozzle seats the BB in the bucking, while TDC precisely adjusts hop-up pressure. QD and freefloat help keep the engine, chamber and barrel aligned. The chamber and VSR bucking are included; the VSR barrel is sold separately.

CNC precision. Repeatable adjustment.

Accurate machining and close fits stabilize the barrel and bucking. The POM clip limits barrel rotation, while TDC guidance keeps the nub level. Tune the hop to your BBs and focus on the game.

  • CNC-machined aluminium body for precise construction and stable component positioning.

  • TDC adjustment applies vertical, centred pressure to the hop-up bucking.

  • POM anti-rotation barrel clip keeps the barrel correctly positioned.

  • Clear numbering and an easy-to-use wheel help you tune hop-up to your BB weight.

Illustrative V2 chamber cutaway. Hop adjustment components are highlighted.

TDC IN ACTION

Top-down pressure.
Precise hop-up adjustment.

TDC guides the nub vertically, centred over the barrel axis. Pressure changes while the nub stays level. Even contact between bucking and BB helps produce consistent hop and straight flight.

  1. Turn the adjustment wheel

Adjust hop pressure to suit your BB weight and replica setup.

  2. The nub moves vertically

TDC guidance keeps pressure centred without tilting the nub sideways.

  3. The bucking applies backspin

The VSR bucking works through the barrel window and gives the BB the backspin that produces its flat trajectory.

Hop-up chamber and VSR bucking included

Your HUSAR engine comes with a matched EON VSR hop-up chamber and a Maple Leaf AUTOBOT 60° hop-up bucking (rubber version). The chamber is included in every configuration, including versions without control electronics. Choose the version for your V2 or V3 gearbox.

Choose a VSR barrel

A barrel is not included. A standard AEG barrel does not fit the EON VSR chamber — you need a VSR-standard barrel.

QD CONNECTION TO THE HOP-UP CHAMBER

Retract the collar.
Disconnect the chamber.

The QD connection positions the engine and hop-up chamber relative to each other and keeps the nozzle aligned with the chamber. Freefloat mounting clearance reduces the influence of gearbox and receiver misalignment on the matched assembly.

Retract the QD collar towards the engine rear to release the lock. Then withdraw the hop-up chamber along the shared axis. To reassemble, insert the chamber and return the collar to the locked position.

Retract the collar · Slide the chamber out on axis

OPEN-BOLT / SINGLE SOLENOID

One solenoid.
Accuracy and speed.

The HUSAR engine, chamber and barrel share one axis. A factory-matched nozzle length seats the BB correctly in the VSR bucking. One solenoid controls BB feeding and firing in the open-bolt cycle.

The first shot fires a BB, without an empty starting cycle. The short cycle supports up to 50 BBs per second with suitable electronics settings, HPA supply and magazine feeding performance.

  • OPEN-BOLT

    Accuracy through matched mechanics

Shared alignment, a matched nozzle length and a VSR bucking help deliver consistent BB feeding and tight groups.

  • FIRST SHOT

A BB on the very first shot

The first trigger pull fires a BB, without an empty cycle to get the engine ready.

  • UP TO 50 BB/s

    Speed when you need it

Up to 50 BBs per second with suitable electronics settings, HPA supply and magazine feeding performance.

Feed a BB. Fire. One cycle.

One solenoid controls BB feeding and firing in open-bolt operation. Adjust engine timing and rate of fire using compatible control electronics.

Actual rate of fire also depends on electronics settings, pressure and the magazine's ability to feed BBs.

GATE TECHNOLOGY

patent pending

Technology developed
with PTX.

While developing PTX, we created our own technology that integrates the HPA engine and hop-up chamber into one precisely matched assembly. HUSAR builds on this idea: the engine, nozzle and chamber share a common axis.

In the filed design, the nozzle first loads the BB and seals against the hop-up bucking. Only then is air released to propel the BB. This sequence supports consistent operation.

Consistent shots

A shared axis and controlled BB loading help the hop-up work consistently.

Less fitting work

Alignment and nozzle length are set by the design, simplifying installation.

Compact construction

The HPA engine and hop-up chamber form one integrated system.

BEFORE YOU CHOOSE

Good to know.

Drop-in installation, accuracy, quality control and choosing a complete setup.

How does HUSAR's freefloat design work?

The engine connects directly to the hop-up chamber, with mounting clearance around its body inside the gearbox. Within this clearance, the gearbox and lower receiver do not force the engine, chamber and barrel out of their shared alignment.

Which barrel do I need for HUSAR?

You need a VSR-standard barrel. A barrel is not included with HUSAR and must be purchased separately. A standard AEG barrel does not fit the VSR chamber.

What is the difference between V2 and V3?

Every version includes the HUSAR engine and a matched EON VSR hop-up chamber. The engine is the same, while the included chamber fits your V2 or V3 platform. Sets with electronics include the engine + chamber + ASTER II. V2 ASTER II sets are available with front or rear wiring. Versions without an ETU / FCU also include the hop-up chamber.

Which hop-up buckings does HUSAR support?

A Maple Leaf AUTOBOT 60° hop-up bucking (rubber version) is included. Extended nozzle travel supports GBB/VSR buckings. If you change the bucking, choose a profile and hardness suited to your BBs and setup.

How do I release the QD connection?

Retract the QD collar towards the engine rear to release the lock. Then withdraw the hop-up chamber along the shared axis. To reassemble, insert the chamber and return the collar to the locked position. The engine body sections use a separate threaded joint.

Can the version without control electronics operate on its own?

No. You need compatible control electronics — an ETU / FCU suitable for your platform — and an HPA supply. The version without electronics still includes the engine, EON VSR hop-up chamber and a VSR bucking. Contact GATE if you need help choosing compatible control electronics.

Does autocalibration with SOL adjust the pressure?

You adjust pressure manually on the regulator, following GCS guidance. During autocalibration, SOL measures BB velocity and a compatible ETU automatically selects engine timing. You need SOL, GCS and electronics that support this function.

Do I need an extra adapter to connect to GCS?

ASTER II Bluetooth® connects directly to GCS using built-in Bluetooth. No USB-Link or Blu-Link is required for this connection. Available app functions depend on the connected ETU and its firmware.

Is HUSAR fully drop-in?

Yes — the engine is drop-in for your chosen V2 or V3 platform. It connects directly to the hop-up chamber, and the freefloat design provides clearance inside the gearbox. This removes tedious engine alignment and nozzle-length selection. The nozzle is factory-matched to the chamber and seats the BB precisely in the bucking. Purchase a VSR barrel separately; a standard AEG barrel does not fit this chamber. Choose compatible control electronics and an HPA supply. After installation, tune hop-up and engine timing, then check muzzle energy with a chronograph.

Is every engine tested for accuracy?

Yes. Every engine undergoes its own accuracy test at the GATE shooting range. The system records impact positions, and the engine must meet our grouping criteria.

What do VSR buckings and extended nozzle travel offer?

Extended nozzle travel allows proper GBB/VSR bucking operation in an engine for V2 and V3 gearboxes. Together with the shared alignment of the engine, chamber and barrel, this delivers exceptional accuracy and a flat BB trajectory. Match your bucking profile and hardness to your BB weight and setup.

Is HUSAR air-efficient?

Yes. We improved air consumption compared with PULSAR S2 V31. The number of shots from a tank also depends on tank size and fill, pressure, engine timing, barrel, BBs and muzzle energy.

Why does HUSAR use one solenoid rather than two?

One solenoid controls BB feeding and firing throughout the open-bolt cycle. Shared engine, chamber and barrel alignment, a factory-matched nozzle length and a VSR bucking keep the components matched. The first shot fires a BB without an empty starting cycle. Up to 50 BBs per second requires suitable electronics settings, HPA supply and magazine feeding performance.

What does HUSAR 2-in-1 mean?

2-in-1 means an HPA engine and a matched EON VSR hop-up chamber in one set. Every V2 and V3 configuration includes the chamber and VSR bucking, including versions without electronics. ASTER II configurations also include the control unit specified in the product name. A VSR barrel is sold separately.
